Description from Publisher:
Today s Journey Tarot is a fresh approach to the ancient wisdom offered by the classic Tarot. Everyday experiences come alive with the power of archetypal imagery. The deck of 78 cards represents the true essence of the Tarot, spiritual enlightenment, transformation, and discovery, as humanity expands into new dimensions. It is easy to relate to the contemporary symbolism without struggling to understand the esoteric ideology. This leads to an illumination of the decisions needed for the future, a better perception of the present, and an understanding of the influences from the past. If you have ever been stuck in traffic wondering if it would be better to take the next exit or stay where you are, you can read Today s Journey Tarot!

This is one of the most interesting approaches to tarot that I’ve seen; the “Majors” are done by “Key”. The “journey” begins with Key 0, an image of a girl learning to read the tarot.  Card 1:  Manifestation - Card 2:  Wisdom -Card 3: Creativity… The Minor Arcana are separated into four suits, Earth, Air, Fire and Water.   Each Suit has a “family unit”: Child, Youth, Mother and Father taking the place of “Court Cards”.

As I looked through the first twenty two cards I realized that the perfect study tool has been created, allowing anyone to read the tarot.
This is like learning tarot in a completely opposite way than it’s traditionally taught. (As a left handed person, this is the way my brain works.)  The images are contemporary and easy to relate to events happening in our lives.  I enjoyed placing the Rider Waite Deck’s corresponding images next to Today’s Journey Tarot.  Try this!  I was able to make a few connections that I hadn’t thought of before…

If you’ve ever thought about using flash cards to learn tarot, had trouble memorizing key words or just can’t relate to traditional tarot imagery, this deck is perfect for you!  Experienced tarot readers can add another layer of meaning with this modern approach to color, symbols and key words.

The back of the cards are blue with a merkaba in the middle.  The LWB for this deck is illustrated with black and white images.  The box is sturdy with a magnetic lid. This would be a great addition to your collection and it would also be the perfect gift for someone just learning tarot.
